This page explains the privacy-related services used by mastersword.wiki, including local browser storage, Cloudflare Web Analytics, embedded YouTube videos, and Google advertising.
The wiki itself does not require an account. The separate supporter portal has its own sign-in and verification flow and is not used for general wiki browsing.
Local browser features
Wiki search uses the static search-index.json bundled with the site. Search terms are evaluated in your browser rather than being sent to a hosted search service.
Some interactive tools save small preferences or progress in your browser. For example, the Golden Fairy tracker stores its checklist state in localStorage. These local values stay in that browser unless you clear the site data.
Cloudflare
The site is delivered through Cloudflare for hosting, DNS/CDN, security, and performance. Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled to provide aggregate information such as visits, page views, referrers, device/browser information, countries, and Core Web Vitals. Cloudflare describes Web Analytics as privacy-first and states that it does not collect or use visitors’ personal data.
Embedded YouTube videos
Some pages may embed YouTube using the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com player. Loading or interacting with an embedded player can still send technical request information to YouTube/Google and may cause additional storage or cookies depending on your browser, region, and interaction with the player.
Google AdSense & advertising
This site is configured to use Google AdSense. Advertising may be enabled on public wiki pages. When Google ads are active, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to serve, measure, limit the frequency of, and report on ads. Depending on your consent and settings, ads may be personalized using prior activity or may be non-personalized/contextual.

Consent choices
For visitors in regions where consent is required for advertising technologies, including the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, the site uses Google’s certified consent-management message. The message provides choices to consent, not consent, or manage options before advertising technologies are used where required.
Supporter portal
Supporter verification is handled separately at support.mastersword.wiki. That service can use Discord sign-in and Patreon or Ko-fi verification to confirm supporter access and can store a linked Discord account, supporter entitlement, and Minecraft UUID. Those records are used to provide the supporter role and Supporter Fairy key rather than for advertising.
