Fairies are companions, not just decoration. They follow you between adventures, collect experience, recover missed Fairy Arrows, and—depending on the fairy—can add healing, stealth, damage, magic regeneration, or other utility.
What pet fairies do
- Follow their owner and are reconciled after login, respawn and dimension changes.
- Use the shared pet-fairy base AI, including experience-orb collection and missed Fairy Arrow retrieval.
- Only one persistent companion type is tracked for a player at a time; bottled variants provide the switching/collection path used by the mod.
Companion abilities

| Navi | The special sword-bearing shrine can trigger her intro. If you have no companion, she becomes your pet; if you already have one, the intro gives a bottled Navi instead. Wild Navi spawning is restricted to the Temple of Time area. |

| Neri | When the owner takes incoming damage, has a 5% chance to grant Absorption for 60 ticks if Absorption is not already active. Wild Neri spawning is nighttime-only and rare. |

| Sheikah Fairy | When hurt by a living attacker and off cooldown, cancels that hit, grants Invisibility for 100–140 ticks and Speed II for 60 ticks, clears nearby mob aggro, and prevents retargeting during the vanish window. Cooldown: 600 ticks (~30 sec). |

Missed Fairy Arrow retrieval
- Fire a Fairy Arrow.An arrow embedded in a block may become eligible for pickup.
- Your pet fairy retrieves it.The arrow must belong to you, remain stuck long enough, and allow normal pickup.
- The fairy returns it.Flaming arrows are extinguished before transport. Delivery either inserts the recovered arrow into inventory or drops it at the owner, then removes the projectile to avoid duplication.
Healing Fairies
Interact with a Healing Fairy while holding an empty Hylian Bottle to capture it as a bottled Healing Fairy. Interacting without that bottle consumes the fairy to heal 7 health points (3.5 hearts) when needed and apply Regeneration for 80 ticks (4 seconds).
Healing Fairies use a higher spawn chance near the Healing Fairy Fountain: the spawn rules use a local cap of four and a 50% candidate chance near the structure, versus a cap of two and a 2% candidate chance elsewhere when the spawn rule is evaluated.
Fairy bottles
Filled Hylian Bottles have unique variants and placed-block models. Eight vanilla arrows surrounding one eligible filled Fairy Bottle craft eight Fairy Arrows. Zelda’s Lullaby also uses sixteen distinct supported fairy-bottle blocks in its Golden Fairy Bottle ritual.
