Nayru Shrine is the home of the Nayru Campfire and its item riddles. Bring the correct answer item, use it on the campfire, and the shrine rewards you with Nayru’s Flame.
Where can it generate?
| Biome ID or tag | Requirement |
|---|---|
#c:is_cold/overworld | Optional compatibility tag (requires matching data) |
This structure lists no guaranteed vanilla biome or tag. It depends on the optional common biome tag being present and populated. Do not assume it generates in every installation.
Biome membership is an eligibility rule, not a guarantee. Optional #c: tags only broaden placement if populated in this world or modpack.
Confirmed structure-specific behavior
If #c:is_cold/overworld is not available or populated by the installed environment, this definition may have no eligible biomes. The structure sets start_height to an absolute value of 1 projected onto the world surface. The saved value is 1, even though an older comment beside it mentions a much higher offset.
Inside the structure: decoded template
The nayru_shrine.nbt template is 41 × 33 × 41 blocks with 55,473 explicit block records. The counts refer to the saved template, not a guarantee that every server places the same structure.
- Contains one Nayru Campfire at local template position (20, 4, 20).
- There are four lever block entries, 21 redstone lamps and sixteen daylight detector block entities.
- No chests or saved mob entities occur in the decoded template. The code handles a random item-riddle at the campfire.
Notable local template coordinates
| Feature | Local (x, y, z) |
|---|---|
| Nayru Campfire | (20, 4, 20) |
Locations are coordinates inside the saved saved structure template. Generated structures can be shifted and rotated; use these as relative exploration clues, not /tp commands.

Finding it
- Search eligible biomes in newly generated terrain. Config changes do not alter old chunks.
- On a cheats-enabled world, try
/locate structure mastersword:nayru_shrine, provided the built-in pack is enabled. - Keep in mind that the shared generator requires relatively flat land and excludes village-adjacent candidates.
World-generation rules
Structure generation is affected by enabled data packs, biome-tag population and server configuration. The default spacing is 40 chunks, minimum separation is 30 chunks, and a candidate is excluded within 10 chunks of village structure-set candidates. The custom land generator rejects starts at a sampled center height of 250 or above and layouts whose sampled surface varies by more than four blocks.
Generation notes
These biome rules come from the structure’s built-in biome tag and worldgen definition. Server configs or datapacks can change what appears in a world. Structure definition: src/main/resources/packs/nayru_shrine/data/mastersword/worldgen/structure/nayru_shrine.json.
